Can I speak with the lawyer before hiring? We work strictly by appointment. All consultations must be scheduled in advance.

Is the first consultation free? No. The first consultation is a paid service. It includes:

Explanation of your rights and options
Estimated costs and timeline
Required documents and next steps

How do I book a consultation? Send an email to contacto@virginiaramos.com (virginiaramos.com in Bing). We’ll guide you through the booking steps.

What do I need to schedule a consultation?

Copy of your passport
Completed client form
Payment of the consultation fee

Once received, we’ll confirm your appointment.

Can the consultation be online? Yes. We offer online meetings via Google Meet or other platforms.

How do I pay at the office? We accept cash, bank transfer, Bizum, or PayPal.

🌍 Remote Clients & International Support

Can I use your services if I live abroad or in a remote area? Yes. All services can be provided online. A stable internet connection is sufficient.

Can the lawyer help me get documents from my country? We can’t obtain documents abroad, but we’ll guide you with tips and templates.

Can the lawyer help me find insurance in Spain? Yes. We assist with insurance options, but you’re free to choose your provider.

Can the lawyer help me get a medical certificate? Yes. We provide samples and help schedule appointments if needed.

🧾 Legal Fees & Payments

How is the payment plan structured?

50% of the legal fee + 21% VAT to start
Remaining 50% + VAT before submission to authorities

Are immigration taxes included in the legal fee? No. Immigration taxes are separate and paid directly or via the lawyer if requested.

Are there any extra costs? Only if you ask the lawyer to pay third-party fees (e.g. translations, taxes) on your behalf.

📑 Translations & Documentation

Can the lawyer translate my documents? No. The lawyer is not a sworn translator. We work with certified professionals if needed.

Will I receive a list of required documents? Yes, after hiring our services and paying the first installment.

What do I receive after the first consultation? A legal fee proposal contract. If accepted, the consultation fee is deducted from the total.

🏠 Real Estate Services

Do I need a lawyer to buy property in Spain? It’s not mandatory, but highly recommended. We protect your rights and investment.

Does the lawyer do the same job as a Notary? No. The Notary formalizes the title deed. The lawyer handles the full process and due diligence.

Is due diligence included in the conveyance service? Yes. We review all legal aspects before signing any contract.

Can the lawyer draft my purchase contract? Yes. We prepare and negotiate contracts on your behalf.

Will I receive a breakdown of costs? Yes. We provide a full cost estimate and monthly expenses as part of due diligence.

Can the lawyer prepare a bilingual Spanish Will? Yes. We offer full assistance to draft and formalize your Will in two languages.

🛂 Immigration & Residency

Can the lawyer apply for my NIE if I’m not in Spain? Yes, if you’re buying property and grant Power of Attorney.

Can the lawyer submit my visa application at the consulate? No. You must submit it personally. We provide full legal guidance.

Can the lawyer submit my residence permit in Spain? Yes, if you’re in Spain and provide all required documents.

Can the lawyer collect my residence card? No. Only the applicant can collect it after fingerprinting.

Can I get assistance to collect my residence card? Yes. We offer guidance and support for this step.

Does hiring a lawyer guarantee approval? No. We ensure legal accuracy and strategy, but final decisions depend on public administration.

What happens if my application is rejected? We explain the reasons and offer options: appeal, reapplication, or alternative paths.

🏦 Non-Resident Taxes

Does the lawyer handle non-resident taxes? Yes. We calculate and submit annual taxes for property owners.

Can I set up direct debit for non-resident taxes? No. Taxes must be calculated and submitted manually each year.

What happens if I don’t pay non-resident taxes? You may face fines, interest, and enforcement actions including bank or property embargo.

⚖️ General Legal Support

Can I hire the lawyer for other services later? Yes. We’re happy to assist with new procedures once your current case is complete.

Can the lawyer assist clients in other cities? Yes. We operate throughout Spain, including islands.

Can I consult before buying property or applying for a visa? Absolutely. We recommend a consultation before making any major decision.
